WHAT'S THE DRESS CODE? Attire is Black Tie / Formal. We're only doing this once so let's go all out! Please refrain from wearing blue. Our guests of honor will be in various shades of blue. Navy-colored suits are OK. Ladies: Floor length gown / dress / jumpsuit Gentlemen: Suit or tuxedo, any color OK ARE KIDS OR PLUS ONES ABLE TO ATTEND?To keep our guest list intimate, we chose to forego kids and extra plus ones. Free parking are at both the church and reception venue. No vehicles may be left overnight at either location. We highly recommend utilizing ride-share services such as Lyft or Uber if you will be indulging in any drinks during the evening. WHAT TYPE OF FOOD &amp; DRINK WILL BE SERVED? FOOD: •Cocktail hour: Mini shrimp tacos •Dinner: Various food stations, open for 2 hours DRINK:•An open bar will be available from 4 - 10pm. LAST CALL is 9pm. Newport Beach to Nashville, and everywhere in-between

Saturday, April 8th, 2023: Newport Beach, CA Sydney was on her third month of living in Newport and had made friends in a flag football league. A group went out to brunch for a girls’ day as it was a beautiful &amp; sunny spring Saturday on the Newport Beach peninsula. Conner was living in Indianapolis, IN and had traveled out to Newport for a boy’s trip weekend. The group found their way to Baja Sharkeez, a bar down by the sand, and decided it was the perfect spot to hang for a Saturday afternoon. When Sydney and the girls wrapped their brunch, they had the same idea and decided to go to a bar closer to the boardwalk / sand for drinks and socializing. You guessed it, they chose the same bar as the guys. Let's set the scene: Three beautiful girls walk into a bar, grab their drinks, and see three open chairs at an 8-top table where five good looking guys were hanging out with their own drinks. The girls walk over, ask to sit down, the guys say yes, and they all start chatting. Shortly after, three French Bulldog puppies were brought into the bar by a stranger and the girls asked to hold them. Sydney had Conner take her pup for a few minutes as the pup was getting antsy. Being the dog-whisperer that he is, was able to calm the pup down and he relaxed in his arms. Conversation sparks up between the two, Conner gets her number, and the rest is history. Thursday, May 18th, 2023: Austin, TX After weeks of texting, phone calls, and FaceTime dates ranging from watching the sunset on the beach from Newport (Sydney), pizza dinners, or having a truck cleaning session in Indianapolis (Conner), the two planned a trip to meet up again and finally see each other in Austin, TX. It was the perfect halfway point between IN and CA. They had an Air B N B for the long weekend to explore a new city together and figure out if that initial spark that kept growing over the 5+ weeks of virtual conversations had something to it. Sunday, May 21st, 2023: Austin, TX Conner and Sydney just finished an AMAZING dinner at Odd Duck in ATX (highly recommend this place, 10/10!) and decided to go back to a rooftop bar they'd visited night 2 for more drinks and apps and enjoy the city skyline as sunset turned into night. This was where Conner worked up the courage to get Sydney to stop talking long enough to share how he felt about the last few weeks and officially ask her to be his girlfriend. She blacked out slightly with excitement as she realized the feelings she had over the last few weeks were being reciprocated, and said yes. Tuesday, March 5th, 2024: Nashville, TN After 10 months of long-distance dating, the gap was closed when Sydney moved into her new house in Nashville. The couple finally lived in the same city and only had a 15-minute drive to one another’s place, rather than 2,000 miles between. Tuesday, August 6th, 2024: Percy Priest Lake, Nashville, TN Conner pulled off the surprise of a lifetime! As a one-year anniversary gift, back in May 2024 Conner booked a 2 1/2 hour private sunset sailboat cruise with just the captain, a photographer, and the couple. The first available sunset cruise was August, so this was months of anticipation and preparation. While out on the water, Conner got down on one knee and asked Sydney to marry him. She said YES and the two began their journey as fiancés, and soon will become husband and wife.
