We met on an online dating app, but neither one of us can remember if it was Bumble or Hinge. Our first date was in Gruene, TX, the perfect halfway point between San Antonio, where Abby lived, and Austin, where Conner lived.

Our first date was planned to be just a quick dinner, but we ended up talking for hours hanging out by the river in Gruene, and neither of us wanted the night to end. It was love at first sight for both of us... but the timing wasn’t quite right.

Fast forward almost a year later, we finally had our second “first date”, and that’s when we knew we were inseparable – and have been ever since.

One of our first big adventures together was a trip to Oregon. We loved getting to explore new places together while going on hikes (even when it was raining)—and quickly realized how much we loved traveling together.

After this trip, we decided we were going to do our best to go on 1 trip per month in 2024.

As a result, this past year has been packed with unforgettable experiences. Together, we’ve traveled to:

Rocky Mountain National Park, Arches National Park, Moonscape Overlook (Utah), Port Aransas, Hawaii, Telluride, Fredericksburg, Las Vegas, and a few music festivals for good measure.

Whether we’re hiking through national parks or enjoying live music at concerts, we’ve loved every moment of adventure and exploring together.

Conner proposed during our trip to Utah, at the otherworldly Moonscape Overlook. We were both a bit tired from days of hiking, but the view was unreal.

Conner set up a “timed photo” and instead got down on one knee. It was the perfect moment for us.

We’re so excited to start the next chapter of our lives together side by side.
