The nearest airport to Elizabethtown is Fayetteville Municipal (FAY) Airport which is 29.8 miles away. Other nearby airports include Wilmington (ILM) (47.1 miles), Myrtle Beach (MYR) (68.3 miles) and Raleigh/Durham (RDU) (87.4 miles).

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

Ceremony: promptly at 6:30 pm followed by cocktail hour: 7:00-8:00 pm. The reception will run 8:00 pm-12:00 am. Please be seated and ready for the ceremony no later than 6:20 pm.

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual. Wear something you’re comfortable in—button-up shirts, a flowy dresses, or whatever brings you joy. Since our ceremony will take place outside, we recommend something cooler for this portion of the event. The reception will be indoors. Please refrain from using the colors marine and sunflower for our wedding as these are our wedding colors.

What weather should I expect?

Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but North Carolina can be very hot and muggy in late July. Since the ceremony is outdoors we recommend sunscreen. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

If the weather allows, the ceremony will take place outdoors, while the reception will be held indoors.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, guests can proceed to the Ballroom Courtyard where snacks and drinks will be flowing. Dinner will be served around 8:30 pm, with dancing to follow.

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue(s)?

We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place in the same venue. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft is a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink. All vehicles associated with event must be parked in the designated parking area behind the Gallery Ballroom. No cars are to be parked in the area in front of the porch of the Gallery ballroom during the event or overnight.

Do you have a registry?

We are registered at Amazon.com, and you can find our registry online at https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/CJKeene. We also have a honeymoon fund registered through the Knot. Additionally, we are asking our loved ones to share their favorite recipes with us! We will have recipe cards at the reception for you to fill out.

Can I bring my kids? Will there be a babysitter?

We've made every effort to include all the children on our guest list. If we unintentionally missed someone, please inform us. Please note childcare will not be provided.

Can I bring my partner?

I can’t attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Sorry to hear you are unable to attend. Unfortunately, we will not be streaming our wedding ceremony.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

We’ll be serving light snacks during cocktail hour, followed by a delicious dinner, and of course dessert.

I have dietary restrictions, what’s the best way to communicate that with you?

We definitely want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day, please let us know when you RSVP (https://www.theknot.com/us/cjkeene/rsvp) about your dietary needs.

Will there be an open bar?

Our event will begin with an open bar. Please be advised that once the allocated funds for the open bar are depleted, it will transition to a cash bar. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

We absolutely love photos! However, during the ceremony, we kindly request that you refrain from taking pictures to keep that moment unplugged. Don't worry, we'll have a dedicated time for photos before departing the ceremony. For the remainder of the wedding, we encourage you to share your pictures using our Facebook wedding hashtag #Keene2025, so we can all enjoy them together. Additionally, we have a QR code set up for sharing photos with everyone.

Smoking

All indoor areas of Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery are non-smoking / non-vaping areas. Smoking may take place in designated areas outside.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

In accordance with North Carolina Law, bringing personal alcoholic beverages onto Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery property is strictly prohibited, without exceptions. If any unauthorized alcohol is discovered, management will confiscate it and request the individual to leave the premises. Non-compliance may lead to the immediate termination of the event, and the event coordinator will ask all guests to vacate the property. All alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages must be purchased through Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery.
