We are so excited for you to come to our wedding and explore the town of Wilmington, NC, from its historic downtown riverfront area where the wedding will take place to the beaches of Wrightsville, Carolina and Kure. We have some suggestions to help you find accommodations for you and your family.

Our wedding venue is The Atrium, 15 S. Second St. in the heart of the riverfront area.

We have a block of rooms reserved at two hotels within a ½ mile of the venue:

The Hilton Hotel Ballast requires a two-night (Friday/Saturday) stay, offering a $249/night rate. For online reservations, use the reservation code: HYF, or call the hotel at 910-763-5900 and ask for the Phyfer-Dienes wedding room block.

The Hampton Inn Wilmington Downtown offers one- and two-night stays with complimentary breakfast for $204/night for a King room and $214/night for two Queens. Book online with the group code: PDW or call the hotel directly at 910- 251-3930 and ask for the Phyfer-Dienes wedding block.

If you don’t mind traveling about five miles from the venue, there are numerous hotels along Market Street between the River District and Wrightsville, including: Fairfield Inn & Suites Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach and Quality Inn – Wilmington. (TIP: Join hotel’s membership program for reduced rates but beware that some lower rates are non-cancellable and non-refundable.)

If you’re looking to stay at the beach, Wrightsville Beach is 10 miles from the venue, Carolina Beach is 15 miles and Kure Beach is 20 miles. Airbnb and VRBO are options if you have a group who wants to hang together.

Beach-side hotels can be found on The Wilmington and Beaches Visitors Bureau website which, in addition to accommodations, has tons of information about restaurants, beaches and fun activities, including touring the WWII Battleship North Carolina. There’s also an online printable Visitors Guide with maps for those who prefer a “paper” guide.
