Who would have guessed that a simple introduction from a mutual friend, a casual hello, and a quick trip to Subway would lead to three dogs, five cats, a home, and a love that’s grown for over seven years?

The past seven years have been filled with so many little moments that have made us fall even more in love with each other. Connor teaching me to cook was one of our early adventures; we’d spend hours in the kitchen, laughing through all the trial and error until we created something delicious together. In return, I taught him to bake, and now our kitchen is filled with sweet treats (and a few baking mishaps).

We both love animals, which explains the full house we have now—three dogs and five cats! We’re definitely homebodies, happiest spending cozy nights in with our furry family. We’ve bonded over our love for documentaries, almost all animals (as connor has put a "no snakes allowed" rule on the house) , nights out for different dining experiences and spending quality time together. Every day, we show each other how much love, laughter, and companionship can come from sharing life’s simplest joys.

Fast forward to Christmas morning 2021. It felt magical already, but little did I know it was about to become unforgettable. We were at home enjoying our morning coffees when we decided to take a walk down to the creek on the family property to watch the sunrise. I love this spot and often go down for ‘me time’ when I need to reflect or unwind. Now I love this spot even more. When we got down there Connor was quick to get down on one knee and before he could even get his words out I was saying yes. After lots of hugs, kisses and so many happy tears we celebrated with our first pup Cleo and made our way home to call everyone that was important to us.

After a bit of a long engagement, we are so excited to celebrate our love with all of our favourite people down south!
