The Beginning. September 2021. He's from Germany, she's from Russia. They both decided to join the mission on the ship Logos Hope. And so, in September (2021) in Nassau, they manage to become part of a large international family. At that moment, they didn't even notice one another.

Time has passed. It happened that they both got into the same department (out of 5 other ones), they were having mutual friends and sometimes would spend time in a group with their teammates, but that was the only connection they had by then. They were just good friends.

But it wasn't always like that... The time had come when their time on the ship was coming to the end, which meant they needed to say each other good bye and come back to their normal lives onshore. Their main focus was how to end that time well. And then God did something incredible. Without realizing it they started spending more time together. Their friendship began to grow and strengthen, and has finally grew into something else, something they didn't know about.

September 2023. A time to say goodbye. It was hard to imagine that their friendship could ever be anything more than that, for they both were going home to a new life. So when they were saying their last goodbye they thought it was goodbye forever.

But God had a different plan. To their surprise, however, even back home they were staying in touch. They would text every day or call to shared their hearts and pray. At some point, they realized that their friendship was deepening and growing into something bigger.

After 6 months being long distant, they decided to meet up. They were intentional of developing their relationship with possibility of a future together as a couple. Their hearts were at peace at that stage so they prayed for the opportunity to come together.

Their relationship has grown and strengthened. Despite the long distance, they both decided to go all the way to become one. For 17 months, the Lord himself guided them and helped them in every season. He was always there for them and strengthened their love. When they wouldn’t know the details, He knew everything. When they felt like giving up, He was faithful. When they were losing faith, God kept His promise and held them in His loving hands.

On June 21, 2025 the same people – the guy from Germany and the girl from Russia will become one family. They believe it will be just the beginning of their incredible story, authored by the Creator himself.
