We both first swapped right on 1/8/2022. Our love was the best thing we ever found online. Our first date night was on 1/13/2022 at the Black Cow in Columbus, GA. I would not agree to meet him in person until Dr. Hannay and Aquila verified him as a good man and a great nurse. It was not love at first sight.

Our first hike was on 1/15/2022 at Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. We hiked 6 miles with over 2,000 feet of elevation gain in the snow. I fell in love with Mike when he hiked up the mountain with me and made me coffee at the top. It was love at first hike for me.

On 2/12/2022, Mike officially asked me to be his girlfriend after hiking Indian Grave Gap and while enjoying our post-hike tradition at the Troll in Helen, GA. Of course, I said yes. How could I say no to a man who takes me hiking every weekend?

During our first spring break together, he took me to Asheville, NC. There he showered me with gifts and affection. He continuously took me hiking and showered me with gifts for years. My favorite gifts include our adventures together, python boots, cast iron that he taught me how to use, a record player with vinyls, and opal jewelry (my birthstone).

We have had some of the best adventures together, including countless hiking trips all over Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia, with many more to come. In addition to hiking, we enjoy concerts and festivals together. Mike is always taking me out to fine dining, but I prefer his cooking over any restaurant. We also enjoy going to weddings together, family events, church events, holidays, and just being together every chance we can.

On December 25th, 2024, Mike got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Of course, I said yes! He invested in our future and picked out the perfect ring that I would not trade for anything in the world. In our time together, we both have seen God's goodness, forgiveness, and faithfulness in each other and our relationship. We are just two imperfect people who found love. We can not thank God enough for bringing us each other and for the gift of marriage. We can't wait to celebrate with you soon and start our forever!
