FAQs

Are kids invited?

Besides our flower girls and ring bearers that are part of the wedding party, we are asking that no kids attend the ceremony nor the reception. We hope you'll get a sitter and enjoy a fun night with us! Thanks for understanding.

Can I bring a guest or a "plus one"?

Because we are limited in the number of guests we are allowed to have at our venue, unless specifically stated on your invitation and RSVP card, we ask that you do not bring a guest or plus one. Your RSVP card will list the number we are expecting in your party. Thank you for understanding.

Is it ok to take pictures during the ceremony?

We are asking everyone to join us for an "unplugged" ceremony and keep your cameras and phones tucked away during our ceremony. We want you to be fully present to enjoy our special moment, and nothing is worse than that perfect shot of us at the altar blocked by someone's arm or cell phone. We PROMISE we will share our best shots from our awesome photographer on social media when they are ready. Feel free to take LOTS of pictures during our reception! We'll even have a fun way for you to share those with us that night! We appreciate you helping us create a distraction-free environment at our ceremony.

Where’s the best place to stay?

Check out the travel tab on our website for recommendations on places to stay.

Where is the closest airport to Incline Village?

We recommend flying into the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (airport code RNO). The drive to Incline from the airport is approximately 45 minutes, when there is no traffic.

What should I wear? Will it be cold?

June in Tahoe is usually beautiful with daytime highs in the low 70s, but cooling off at night to the 50s or even 40s. Tahoe weather can be unpredictable; we recommend checking your favorite weather app to see what the weather will be like that day. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, whatever the temperature, unless it's raining. The reception (including dinner and dancing) will be indoors. As far as attire, we are hoping it will be a night to remember so feel free to dress up! But most importantly we want you to enjoy yourself and have fun - so please wear whatever you are comfortable in.

Will dinner be served? Is there an open bar?

After the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour with an open bar. Dinner will be served after the cocktail hour. The bar will be "open" for a few hours, and then it will transition to a "cash" bar, in order for everyone to slow down a bit before their drive home.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes. There is ample parking for all our guests at The Chateau.

Is there an elevator available for guests who may need one?

Absolutey. You can navigate from the parking lot to the ceremony site by follwing a paved path. To get from the ceremony to the cocktail hour on the deck and/or the reception, there is a large elevator for our guests to use. We will have staff onsite that can direct you to the elevator.
