For those of you who don’t know, we met on Bumble! We probably only exchanged 3-5 messages and decided to meet for a happy hour at Standard Pour (in Dallas). It was the day before Taylor’s 25th birthday and it was snowy/icy out. Nonetheless, we decided to meet in person.
Aside from Corben being a few minutes late (he claims due to to the ice on his windshield), it was love at first sight! We just clicked instantly. We were making jokes, having great conversations, and Taylor was laughing in all her weird laughs. We had so much in common and it truly felt like we had known each other forever.
After our first date, things moved pretty fast! Taylor gushed to her girlfriends at her birthday party the next day about how giddy she was and how much she liked Corben. Corben sent FLOWERS to Taylor’s apartment the very next week. We had some more dinner dates, putt putt dates, and Corben asked Taylor to officially be his girlfriend on March 25, 2022. Just about a month after we met!
Corben invited Taylor to a family lake trip shortly after and was introduced to his entire family (20+ people the first meeting)! Corben met Taylor’s family as well, and everyone fit so well together.
Since then, we have made countless memories together. We have gone on road trips, traveled to Hawaii, and Italy together.
On July 2nd 2023, Corben got down on one knee and asked Taylor to marry him at White Rock Lake. Taylor had a sneaky suspicion it might be happening and Taylor’s brother (Mitch), sister-in-law (Hanna), and niece (Ellie) were there hiding in disguise to take pictures. I don’t remember much of what Corben said besides him mentioning he still loves me even though I have beat him in lots of things (ha ha - we are very competitive).
Things for us were always so natural and easy. We just purchased our first home in Frisco, TX and are counting down the days until we become Mr. &. Mrs. Jones. We can’t wait to celebrate with y’all!
