Okay so it's black tie - does that mean acually black tie orrrrr?
In short, yes - kinda, sorta. Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but suits, jumpsuits, and cocktail dresses are also great options. The venue and the couple encourage you to look your best!
Are the venues indoors or outdoors?
Outside for the ceremony (will have a covering), inside for the reception
Will there be transportation?
We will not have transportation prior to the wedding and reception. Parking is available at the club, but we strongly encourage those who wish to drink at our open bar to use ride sharing apps to get to the event. Following the event, we will have buses shuttling people to the after party at Social Restaurant and Four Points by Sheraton Boston Newton.
Will there be an after party?
If you read the last question - you will know the answer! But yes, we will be hosting a get together after the wedding at Social Restaurant in Newton which is attached to the Four Points by Sheraton Boston Newton. The busses will arrive at the after party around 11 pm and run until close 12:30 pm. Food will be provided at the after party if you are looking for some midnight snacks before bed!
Are kids invited?
In short, no. We have strict capacity limits for the venue. If you have any questions about any little ones, please reach out to us beforehand! Thanks for understanding, and we hope it gives the parents in attendance a chance to enjoy a fun night out!
When should I RSVP?
The sooner, the better! There will be a way to RSVP even before the invites go out. If you know, please kindly let us know as soon as you can. You'll have until August 15th for final RSVP submission and updates.
Pictures? Phones? What's the code?
A few of you will be aware of the "Kawanhee Unplugged" mantra, but for those that aren't, we will be employing the age-old middle school mom policy of only using your phone in case of emergencies during the ceremony. Once inside and during the reception, feel free to document the night!
Hey - I'm unfamiliar with the area - this is downtown Boston right?
While it is not far from downtown, miles-wise, Boston traffic is notoriously the worst in the country. Trust us, you want to be as close to the venue as you can! We suggest you use any of the hotel blocks we have secured (quick, they will fill up fast!) or try to find something as close to the venue as you can get.
