Many of you know our story but it is my favorite one to tell. It all started in an apartment in East Boston. We were only meant to be roommates but we all know that is not were this story goes.

My best friend Val and I were looking for an apartment in Boston and we needed roommates. She asked if I would be ok living with two guys and I was. Her only request was that I not date either of them. I promised her that nothing would happen and I would never date one of my roommates.

I quickly broke that promise after meeting Chris. The details are fuzzy on who hit on who first depending on who you ask but we started seeing each other after a month of living together.

For anyone who knows us knows that we were not relationship people. Neither of us ever had a serious significant other and neither of us expected to find our person in that apartment in East Boston. That year of living together we grew closer and closer and were "dating" for quite a while. Then on May 15th 2016 Chris asked me to be his girlfriend.

We then moved out of the East Boston apartment into separate apartments and our relationship continued to grow. Over the next few years we traveled together and had many adventures. Then on September 20th, 2019 we moved back in with each other into our first home! We welcomed two fur babies into our lives, Moose and Terry. Soon after that the pandemic hit. Throughout that time our relationship continued to grow and we made the best of being stuck at home.

When the world started to open up again we took full advantage of being out of the house and spending time with friends. So for our 5th anniversary we decided to have a picnic at Worlds End in Hingham. When we found the perfect spot Chris told me that he had secretly gotten me a gift. I turned around to find him on one knee and he told me how much he loved me and asked me to be his wife. Of course I said yes! May 15th, 2021 was the day we decided to spend the rest of our lives together.
