Jake and Cori met back in September of 2016 at Southern New Hampshire University. Jake was "the random" roommate in Cori's friend's apartment. Cori stopped by to say hi to everyone and was introduced to Jake. Jake and Cori hit it off when talking about Plymouth and White Horse Beach. As Cori was getting ready to leave with her girlfriends Jake yelled "I love you, Cori!". Some will say it was quite literally love at first sight.

It wasn't until a few weeks later that the two really started to hang out and by December of 2016 they were officially dating. Cori was graduating that spring and would be moving to New Orleans but that didn't stop these two from being inseparable. In the years that followed they did long distance, shared a mutual love of traveling, bought their first home, rescued their dog, Mac, got engaged and everything in between.
