Brittany Gunter - Bride's VIP
Corina and Brittany met in 2018. It was the RBF that bonded them. They met through mutual friends and the rest is history. Brittany has been there for Corina through break-ups, promotions, moves, health scares, and so much more. Corina is extremely lucky to have a friend like her. Fortunately, Brittany is only 20 minutes down the road from her and they are always planning something unique and exciting to do together. Whether that be trips to the Little Grand Canyon, weekend getaways to Hilton Head, lazy river floats down the Chattahoochee, or pop-up bars around Atlanta, they're always off exploring and making memories!
Sydney Burkhart - Bride's VIP
Blood first, best friends second. Sydney is Corina's sister and although she is miles away in Missouri, that doesn't stop them from talking at least once a day and meeting up in person whenever possible. They've explored many parts of the US together as they both share a love for adventure and exploration. Sydney is married to KD Burkhart (a bonus sister) and they have two sons, Rylan and Roman. Corina loves all of them dearly and is so thankful for their relationship. They share a lot of similarities as siblings, but they each bring different qualities to the table which helps to balance them out.
Elana Flaks - Bride's VIP
Corina and Elana met through mutual friends while attending high school in Missouri. Little did they know this would be the start of a lifelong friendship. Elana currently resides in Ohio with her boyfriend, JJ. Although states away, they have made sure to maintain their friendship throughout the years. Elana has been in Corina's corner for over a decade and now Corina is lucky enough to have JJ in her corner too. From backyard bonfires, life's ups and downs, to traveling the world together (7 countries and counting!), Elana has been Corina's ROCK and is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet. You'll have to go get your own best friend though - she's taken!
Courtney Sample - Bride's VIP
Corina and Courtney met in late 2019 and they haven't skipped a beat since! Although Courtney now resides in Memphis, TN where her husband, Jake, is completing his residency, they regularly stay in contact and try to see each other as often as possible. Her two year old son, Miles, and her full-time corporate job keep her schedule jammed packed. Courtney is a persistent, driven, and inspiring woman who like Corina, grew up in the Mid-West. Corina looks up to Courtney and admires her strength and courage. Corina is super appreciative of their friendship and is thankful to have such a badass woman in her life!
Ashley Russell - Bride's VIP
They say everyone comes into your life for a reason. Wellllll ... not only did Ashley end up with Corina's mail in 2018, she's taught her many valuable lessons over the years as she quickly became one of Corina's best friends and eventually her roommate. Ashley has a heart of gold and is such a strong woman. She's helped Corina learn how to set boundaries, speak up for herself, live authentically, and to place value where value is due. Thanks for being you, Ash.
Rebecca Burkhart - Bride's VIP
When Corina's sister, Sydney, married KD in February 2021, Corina gained not one, but two bonus sisters. Rebecca and Corina both share a love for travel and have been globe trotting the last few years. Some recent and upcoming travels include Egypt, France, Guatemala, Ecuador, Thailand, and South Korea. Corina has a type-A personality while Rebecca is a go with the flow kind of girl. Their relationship works well for this exact reason and it's helped Corina get a better understanding of how to be more carefree (she's still working on this, ha!). Corina is very appreciative of their friendship and looks forward to many more adventures together.
Justin Baptiste - Bride's VIP
Corina and Justin met out in Los Angeles on business related travel around Thanksgiving in 2018. Their flight was initially delayed due to mechanical issues and then staffing shortages. After spending hours sitting on the tarmac, then in the airport, everyone was told the flight would not go out until the next morning. It's funny how things work out as several of them ended up at the same hotel for the night, drowning their holiday sorrows at the bar across the street. Justin and Corina's work go hand in hand as he sells one of the products she finances. There has been lots of career coaching, advice giving, and tough love over the years, and Corina is very thankful for it. A lot of her personal growth has been a direct result of this friendship.
Aleasha Ferguson - Bride's VIP
Corina and Aleasha met in 2015. She was actually the first friend Corina made after moving to the big city of Atlanta. Aleasha welcomed her with open arms and introduced to her to numerous people over the years. She has always been a dependable friend to Corina and a quick phone call away. They've been on several road trips together since 2015: South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia to name a few. The most memorable one was in Virginia in 2018. This is where she married her best friend, Mack. They now have a 3 year old son named Hendrix - the cutest little man! Aleasha has taught Corina how to have thick skin and to not sweat the small stuff. She's also taught her the importance of living in the moment. Corina values their friendship tremendously and is thankful for the continued support.
Elliott Post - Groom's VIP
Matthew and Elliott first met in high school at Frederica Academy, soon after Matthew moved from Waycross to Saint Simons Island. Before Matthew's junior school year started, the FA soccer team began practicing and this is where a friendship full of fun, laughter, and good times began. They have remained close friends despite living in different states since then.
Fast forward 15 years, Elliott, his wife Amanda, and their dog kids, Carlos and Rio, are a very special part of Matthew's life. He values their friendship and support, and looks forward to even better times as they each continue to grow in life as friends.
David Hurtado - Groom's VIP
Matthew and David's friendship kicked off his junior year on the Frederica soccer team. They were close friends throughout high school and even closer throughout college at Georgia Southern University. Matthew and David were roommates in college their sophomore year, and then roommates again in St. Simons from 2015-2017. David is someone you can always count on, so 16 years of friendship is really no surprise. Matthew values their friendship and also values the friendship with his wife, Amanda, and their dog kids, Snoop, Mac, and Doobie (gone but not forgotten).
Sam Morton - Groom's VIP
Matthew and Sam's friendship began on January 6th, 1994. When Sam was born, Matthew was 2 years old. Sam may seem wise beyond his years but only a few can see past that exterior and really know his personality, as he can be a bit of an introvert. Sam's wife, Dani, is one of those people that truly knows Sam. Watching them grow in their marriage and in life the past few years has been one of Matthew's favorite things to see. He values Sam and Dani very much and is truly proud to share the same last name as both of them.
Tyler Flanders - Groom's VIP
Matthew met Tyler in Waycross back in the early 90s, maybe 1995 or 1996, but memories tend to fade when you're 5 or 6 years old. They shared a babysitter by the name of Alex Hood, and they both have her to thank for their lifelong friendship. RIP Alex Hood. Matthew and Tyler have always shared similar hobbies such as the great outdoors, sports, music, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. "Fear the Roar"! Tyler has been a reliable friend and is someone Matthew can count on. They enjoy getting together to hang out for any type of occasion these days, and Matthew has enjoyed getting to know his family as it continues to grow. Tyler, his wife and Matthew's friend, Alei, along with their human kids (Isla and Loki) and cat (Tupi), are a very special part of Matthew's life.
Charlie Morton - Groom's VIP
Matthew and Charlie's friendship began on August 13th, 1998, when Charlie was born and Matthew was 7 years old. Charlie was the final piece of Matthew's family puzzle; which he cares for more than anything else in the world. Due to the age difference, that was beyond Matthew's control, they didn't get the chance to play sports or in the creeks of Waycross together, but Charlie and Matthew have still remained very close. Matthew looks forward to growing their relationship for many years to come. Through twisted humor and sometimes an occasional movie quote, Charlie and Matthew pick up right where they left off, every time they hangout. Matthew treasures his friendship with Charlie and will enjoy watching that blossom as Charlie continues to grow into the man he is becoming.
Andrew Dwyer - Groom's VIP
Matthew met Andy in passing while attending high school in Saint Simons Island, but a close friendship really began in 2014 when he moved back to SSI after college. Andy is as unique as they come and his personality is one of kind. He is an incredibly talented artist and fisherman, and makes a delicious VRB (a go-to drink of Matthew's from a fine establishment called Bubba Garcia's). Being Andy's good friend is really not hard as long as he likes being around you and you're able to bounce back the loyalty and reliability. In life, there are a handful of people you feel you have to catch up with bi-weekly, and Andy is one of those people for Matthew. He cherishes Andy's friendship and can proudly say he has no other friendship quite like his.
Matthew Wojcik - Groom's VIP
Matthew met Matthew back in 2018 through mutual friends. They were recently roommates in Atlanta, and have been growing a strong and reliable friendship since first meeting in SSI. They share a lot of hobbies, one being kayaking and a love for coastal Georgia marsh life. Wojcik is somebody that he can depend on, and is a great person to be around. Morton is excited to continue strengthening their bond and has enjoyed getting to know and also grow with him over the past few years.
