About an hour and a half away from Missoula. You drive through Philipsberg which is one of our favorite little towns that looks very Wild West and has an amazing Brewery (Philipsberg Brewing). Anyways, the mining is year round and you can buy as many buckets as you want and find tons of sapphires!

Gem Mountain Sapphire Mine

BEAUTIFUL lake out in the Bitterroot mountain range. You drive through many cute little towns, along the way like Hamilton. We love the brewery "Brigand Brewing" and "Higherground Brewing." At the lake, there is a really nice 6 mile round trip flat hike to a beautiful waterfall. About an hour 20 min drive from Missoula.

Lake Como National Recreation Trailhead (recgovnpsdata)

This park is in Polson, which is on Flathead lake, while it will be too cold to swim, this is a great pit stop on your way to Glacier.

Boettcher Park

Kind of a no brainer if you are coming to Missoula, might as well extend your trip and spend some time in Glacier. While the going to the sun road may not be open at this time due to snow, you can always rent a bike and bike to the top (without cars around, truly an incredible experience), spend some time hiking lower sections, or look at it in your car and then spend time in whitefish where there are cute restaurants, boutiques and bars! If you go to Glacier be bear aware!

Glacier National Park

About 2 hours outside of Missoula, crossing into the Idaho, you can find many natural amazing hotsprings while driving along the wild and scenic lochsa river. Our favorites are "Jerry Johnsons" and "Weir," each are about a mile hike to get to.You can stop at Lochsa lodge on your way for lunch and wave at the spot we got engaged!

Everything you need to know about the shuttle

The charter bus leaves from the AC hotel (right next to Residence Inn)This is a very central location. Recommendation: Uber to the AC hotel and take the shuttle.The venue will be difficult to get to (Ubers will probably not take you there) so if you don't have a car, you should take the shuttle. You need to select YES to the shuttle when you RSVP or text Corrine @ 425-698-8458 that you want to take the shuttle. We will give you all the information as space on the shuttle is limited. The shuttle will be leaving at two separate times. Corrine will give you your time closer to the wedding date. This is a great option if you don't have a designated driver!
