Alton and Cortayza first met in 2020 when they both were in basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Alton was in alpha company and Cortayza was in bravo company. There they always saw each other but never really had the chance to talk because of the training environment.
However, in 2021, they met each other for the first time formally at their first duty station in Fort Polk, Louisiana. There a friendship was born. They shared and created a bond stronger than words could describe, one where they were there for each other, best times, worst times and everything in between. Shortly after, on August 16, 2021, Cortayza was reassigned to Fort Drum in New York . While leaving Fort Polk, her and Ingram made a promise to always keep in contact and they did at first. Being 1,305 miles away from each other was difficult to say the least, but they made it work because they realised that it wasnt a simple friendship they were fighting for, it was a love that neither of them were able to explain until December 22, 2021, when they decided that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together growing and building a life that they would both be proud of. So, on March 29, 2022, that is what they did . Now they invite you to formally and publicly form their union once more.
