Cortney Jade Widener

Cortney was born on May 17th, 2000 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville, IN to Jim and Michelle Widener. She has two brothers, Nick and Parker, and an exchange sister, Romane. While in school Cortney enjoyed participating in plays and musicals, show choir, track and field, and dancing/teaching at SEI dance.&nbsp;Some of Cortney's favorite things include Golden Retrievers, music, spending time with friends and family, roller coasters, and Grey's Anatomy. She is currently attending Ivy Tech Community College for Nursing and plans to pursue her Bachelor's after graduating. In the future, Cortney hopes to become a Labor and Delivery or Forensic Nurse. Fun Fact: When she was 16 she had the opportunity to go to Hawaii on a Marine Biology trip as well as spend two weeks in Europe experiencing Frankfurt, Germany and Paris, France!

Gavin Tyler Hudson Ivey

Gavin was born on April 4th, 1998 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH to James Hudson and Carey Smith. He was also blessed with his adoptive father, Doug Ivey, his stepmom Laura, his brother Jaxon, his stepdad Neil, and his step siblings Melena and Trey. Growing up Gavin loved to play soccer, baseball, and run varsity cross country. Some of his favorite things include cars, computers, traveling, beef jerky, and playing with Tucker and Charlie in the yard. Gavin is currently fulfilling his dream job at Fraley and Schilling in Rushville, Indiana as IT Support. Fun Fact: Over his lifetime, Gavin has helped his mom raise over 10 litters of puppies!

Romane came to America to live with the Widener family in August of 2014. Romy quickly became the sister that Cortney had always dreamed of having. Our sweet Romane passed away in October of 2021 and left our entire family devastated. We love and miss her greatly.

Mary Helen's is a beautiful establishment nestled in the countryside just outside the town of Batesville, Indiana. Located just minutes off interstate I-74 between the cities of Cincinnati and Indianapolis. The house is constructed of cypress logs from the swamps of Florida and a variety of native oak trees right off the property. You'll find high vaulted ceilings and exposed oak beams throughout the house accompanied by beautiful decor.
