The Story of Matt & Cory is one that was written by God, with a little help from destiny. Matt & Cory met in June of 2014 when Cory drove to Newport Beach to interview for a job at a law firm. Matt interviewed Cory and fell for her immediately. He had never seen anything or anyone as beautiful as Cory.

They wound up working together for a grand total of (4) days before Cory decided the law wasn't really her jam. Matt, though, was determined not to let Cory float away. So they kept in touch and remained "friends" for the next (3) years while they dated other people. But this was God's story, and he had only begun to write it.

On Saint Patrick's Day 2017, Matt asked Cory to hang out, she agreed, and they had their first real date.

After their first date, the love story could not be stopped. Baseball games, Stagecoaches, and in December of 2017 a Pug named Rhett who loves the Boston Bruins came into their lives and filled them with warmth and affection. Rhett became the perfect BIG, little brother, to their beloved Yorkie, the incomparable, DUKE!

Over the years vacations to places like Boston, Cabo, Charleston & Sedona grew the beautiful bond between Cory and Matt. At Christmas 2022 Cory got a card that read, "2023 will be our 6th year together, the same number that the great Bill Russell wore for the Celtics, winning an unprecedented 11 Rings. In 2023 you may get a ring of your own".

Then on May, 12th 2023, in Newport Beach, Matt asked Cory if she wanted to be with him forever. She said "HELL YES" and that's why we will be gathered in Dana Point this October to celebrate true love!!
