This feels so unreal that we are finally making this love story official! We both have been dreaming, praying, and longing for this moment for a long time and we are so thankful for the Lord's hand in all of this as he is truly the only reason our relationship has stood on solid ground. We are honored to be able to celebrate making our covenant official and having all of you be part of it!

Our Wedding

Hey everyone, it’s Cory! Lizzie and I are finally getting married! Yep, it’s for real. Now, you may be wondering, “How did this happen?” and that’s what I’m here to explain. Once upon a time Lizzie was running worship events for high schoolers and I got roped into managing the sound and tech for it. (A little secret for ya, I knew nothing about that stuff but figured it out along the way for her ;) ) At some point my older sister, Mary, knocked it into my head that I obviously had a crush on her and should ask her out. So, in February of 2020 I did that! And we lived happily ever after…? eh…no Fast forward to July 18th (may the day live in infamy) Lizzie broke up with me! What? Plot twist! I never saw that coming. Her reasoning at the time was and I quote “I don’t know if I want to marry you.” (Man oh man if she could’ve seen herself now) So there I am, devastated. After a month or so she started to show up at my youth group’s events. One thing led to another, and we started hanging out again, we took our time because we needed to make sure Lizzie could see herself marrying me lol. Then… senior year! Ahh! big college decisions were looming. Originally, Lizzie and I were both looking at very different colleges quite far away. But, eventually God led us to the same place, IWU! (Go Wildcats!) So, we went to IWU together, and tarried forth through freshman year trying to making friends. (You should ask her about that one time I cried in the dining hall). Nevertheless, Lizzie and I found our people and our places within IWU. Finally, last April I popped the question, she said yes, and here we are! So, moral of the story….go after the girl who is out of your league. And who knows, even if she breaks up with you, you might still have a chance.
