Where basketball players take water breaks, track athletes warm up before practice and, for some, the perfect place to find a life partner.

After a year of kindling their love in the halls of Hayfield, Brooke and Cory spent one year of dating with Brooke in Alexandria and Cory in Easton (210 miles apart), three years in Newport News/Easton (384 miles), one year in Newport News/Alexandria (177 miles), four years in Blacksburg/Alexandria (273 miles) and two years in Alexandria/Charlottesville (120 miles). Somewhere among all those miles, they figured out they wanted to get married, but not until they each finished school... Twelve years and six diplomas later, they finally got engaged.
