Santa Monica circa 2021—just as the world was reopening, so were our hearts. Bill, enjoying his newfound freedom and working remotely from a friend’s empty LA apartment, when Cupid struck - a new match.

A promising conversation led to a date, but at the last minute, Cory had to cancel due to a headache. Many budding love stories might have ended right there, but Bill gave Cory the benefit of the doubt. He seemed too sincere to be a flake.

The very next day, we met by the Santa Monica boardwalk. Under a golden sunset, we walked, we talked, and something just clicked. One date led to another, and soon, Bill kept finding reasons to return to LA. The reason, it turned out, was him.

A year later, we packed up a U-Haul and moved Cory to San Francisco. The rest is history.
