Courtney Showed Up Crying

Yes, Courtney and Dylan met on a dating app on January 3, 2018. Shoutout to Hinge. Dylan was tired of getting shutdown in crowded Wauwatosa bars, and Courtney was looking to put herself out there after recovering from her burn accident. Dylan went on a handful of Hinge dates, many of which were awful. Courtney went on one (which was amazing). Dylan had a very specific dating app strategy. Step 1: Find rapport/interest. Step 2: Meet in person. None of the drawn out, phone messages back and forth. None of the wishy washy nonsense. If there was interest, then instead of wasting time, simply meet up and find out if there's something there. Courtney and Dylan met in person at Draft &amp; Vessel in Shorewood on Friday, January 5, 2018 for their first date. Yes, 2 days and maybe 3 messages back and forth later. On the way to D&amp;V, Dylan received a text from Courtney. She was on her way and witnessed a dog getting hit by a car and she was going to be late...yeah right. Dylan thought about turning his car around. Another bullshit excuse from another noncommittal girl. But he figured he'd still go, order a beer and hope she was telling the truth. It turns out she was, and Courtney showed up crying. As you all probably know, Courtney loves dogs as much as she loves Dylan. And while Courtney was embarrassed, Dylan found it very endearing. They ended up sitting in a D&amp;V booth for 4 hours. On date number 2, Courtney's car wouldn't start. I mean come on. So, Courtney lied to her parents about why she needed to borrow their car (Dylan was a secret). Dylan and Courtney had sushi. And all went great. But, little did Dylan know, that Courtney had decided should something go wrong on date number 3, it would be a sign from the gods and she was going to call it all off. Date number 3, however, went amazingly. Courtney's sister Sami was on speed dial, just in case the string of bad luck continued. But Sami wasn't called. Dylan passed the test and the rest is history!
