For the day trip to Galway. the trip to the Cliffs and the Welcome Party, the dress code is casual. We would suggest layering for the Cliffs because of the elevation and wind. For the rehearsal party, the dress code is "dressy party or dressy casual". For the wedding, the dress code is "cocktail or semi-formal". Black tie optional. We understand that it is a day time wedding which means that it is proper etiquette to dress more casual and that is fine with us. But we know our friends and we know that they love any excuse to dress up and that is okay with us too.

The weather in September in Ireland is usually very pleasant. The average temperature is 59"F (but it ocasionally can reach as high as 77"F) and the average low is 48"F. But, always be prepared for rain.

Yes. Dromoland has engaged with LMM, in relation to providing childminding and babysitting services for families. You can contact them via email: hello@lmmcare.com, and they will be happy to assist directly with individual requirements.

Yes. We just need to know before July 1, 2024 when we are required to give the final count as to attendees for the reception to Dromoland.

Either way is good for us. We invite you to RSVP online here by going to the RSVP page and responding or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation. We would just ask that you RSVP by July 1, 2024.

Plan A is to have an outdoor wedding in the beautiful Walled Garden at Dromoland. Plan B is to have the wedding ceremony on the Brian Boru balcony if the weather does not permit the wedding ceremony to be outdoors. The decision as to the location will be made on the morning of September 2nd.

We will be serving canapes at the cocktail hour. At the gala dinner, we will be serving a sit-down dinner with a choice of entrees - steak or salmon. Vegetarian selection will also be available upon request. We will also be offering an late evening meal which includes midnight snacks and dessert.

There will be an open bar at the rehearsal party and at the reception. At the Welcome Party, beer and wine will be provided.
