To help make your experience seamless and enjoyable, we’ve put together some answers to common questions about the ceremony, reception, and everything in between. Q: What is the dress code for the wedding?
A: Our wedding will be formal/semi-formal, so please dress to impress! For men, a suit or a nice dress shirt and trousers is appropriate. Women may wear a cocktail dress, a formal summer dress, or a stylish ensemble suited to a semi-formal celebration. Since it's a summer wedding, lightweight fabrics like linen, cotton, and chiffon are perfect for staying cool.
Please note: Guests are kindly asked to avoid wearing white (that’s our color!), and we request that casual attire like shorts, flip-flops, or overly casual shoes be avoided.
Q: What time should we arrive for the ceremony?
A: We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. This gives you plenty of time to check in, find parking, and get settled. The ceremony will start promptly at 5 PM. Please note the parking at the venue is reserved for family, so please allow ample time to find one of the many available street parking spots near the venue in downtown Lewisville.
Q: Where will the ceremony and reception take place?
A: The ceremony will take place indoors at the beautiful Sparrow on Main, a charming venue with an elegant, intimate setting. After the ceremony, we’ll move outside for the cocktail hour in the lovely outdoor area at Sparrow on Main, where you can enjoy drinks and fun in the fresh air. The reception will then be indoors with dinner, dancing, and a party!
Q: What should I wear for the weather?
A: Since our ceremony will be indoors, you don’t need to worry about the weather during that part of the day. However, the cocktail hour will be outside on a lovely summer evening, so we recommend dressing comfortably for both the indoor and outdoor settings.
For the outdoor cocktail hour, lightweight fabrics will keep you cool, and we suggest bringing a light jacket or shawl in case it gets a little cooler after the sun sets.
Q: Will there be any special accommodations for guests with mobility issues?
A: Yes! Sparrow on Main is fully accessible. If you need special assistance during the event, please let us know in advance, and we’ll be happy to make arrangements to ensure you’re comfortable throughout the day. There will be seating available during both the ceremony and cocktail hour, and we’ll have staff available to assist if needed.
Q: Will there be food and drinks at the reception?
A: Absolutely! After the cocktail hour outdoors, we’ll move indoors catered by none other than our favorite, In'N'Out burger. We’ll have a variety of sides to suit different tastes too!! There will be plenty of drinks, including wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know in advance, and we’ll make sure there’s something delicious for you.
Q: Can I bring a guest?
A: If your invitation includes a plus-one, we’d love to have them join us (pick someone fun)! If you’re unsure whether your invitation includes a plus-one, please check the envelope, or feel free to contact us for clarification.
Q: Will there be parking at the venue?
A: Yes! There is plenty of free parking near Sparrow on Main. When you arrive, you’ll find ample space to park in downtown Lewisville. If you’re using a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft), you can be dropped off right at the venue entrance, and the drop-off area will be clearly marked.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: In case of rain, we’ll still hold the ceremony indoors at Sparrow on Main, which has a beautiful and elegant indoor space that can accommodate all of our guests. The cocktail hour will also move indoors, where we’ve arranged for a stylish indoor reception area to keep the celebration going no matter the weather. We’ve got it all covered, so you don’t need to worry about a thing!
Q: Can I take photos during the ceremony?
A: We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so that everyone can enjoy the moment without distractions. Our photographer will be capturing every beautiful moment, and we’ll be sure to share those photos with you afterward. We'd love if you take photos during the cocktail hour and reception!
Q: Will there be a gift registry?
A: We are so thankful for your presence at our wedding, and your love and support mean the world to us. For those who wish to give a gift, please reference the registry tab. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Q: Can I help with the wedding or anything else?
A: Your presence at our wedding is already the best gift! We want you to have the best time celebrating with us on our big day. If you would like to help, we will definitely keep you in mind and let you know if there are any small tasks we could use help with in the lead-up to the big day.
