Our journey together began during my freshman year of high school when I crossed paths with a person who would forever change my life. It didn't take long to see that he was the goofiest, most amazing person I had ever met. Our friendship blossomed quickly, and I found myself drawn to him in ways I hadn't expected. As time went on, I realized I couldn't imagine my life without him, even if it was just as my best friend at the time.

During those early days, we made a pact that seemed so random at the time - a promise to own a boat and have breakfast on the water together when we reached the age of 55, specifically feasting on pancakes. Little did I know that this seemingly whimsical promise would come to mean so much more to us.

Two years passed in the blink of an eye, and our friendship remained steadfast. Yet, everything changed when Nic started dating someone else. That's when I realized how much he truly meant to me, and I couldn't bear the thought of losing him to someone else. So, I decided to confess my feelings, and it turned out that he had feelings for me all along too. Our transition from friends to partners was a whirlwind, and before we knew it, we were officially a couple.

We quickly became inseparable, and our bond only grew stronger as I approached the end of high school. Nic took an extra year to work and save up for college, but fate smiled upon him when he was awarded a full scholarship. Our journey through college was a new adventure, and our love continued to deepen.

Then, the world was hit by the unexpected force of the pandemic. Amid the uncertainty, we found comfort in each other's company and decided to welcome our first fur baby, Honey Bea, into our lives. As we navigated these uncharted waters, I saw Nic's kindness, compassion, and the qualities that would make him an extraordinary father someday.

Through life's ups and downs, my feelings for Nic never wavered. We weathered the storm of Covid-19 together and emerged stronger than ever. Even as I began working full time, nothing changed between us. If anything, I realized that Nic was the one person I could be with every day and still eagerly anticipate our next meeting.

Our story took another significant turn when we moved in together, and that's when the realization hit me - we were on the path to marriage, and it was closer than I had ever imagined. Then, on December 11th, 2022, in the most magical moment, he got down on one knee and asked me the question that would change our lives forever. With tears of joy and overwhelming excitement, I said "YES."

Since then, our love story has continued to evolve. We welcomed our second fur baby, Ginny, into our home, adding even more joy to our lives. I graduated from college and embarked on my career journey, while Nic began his last semester of nursing school, a testament to his dedication and determination. And now, as we embark on the incredible journey of planning the most amazing celebration of our lives, we're reminded of the love, laughter, and endless possibilities that lie ahead. Our story is just beginning, and I can't wait to see where life takes us next.
