Wow, where do I begin... it was almost 10 years ago, Chris was one year older, a junior, and I, a sophomore in college. Yes, we met in college, at a party (so cliche). He was actually one of the first guys

I met in college, however, I was interested in someone else at the time ;). A year later, I saw him at a hockey party. He handed me his 151 rum drink (which was very good and very deadly) and he started to freestyle rap for me. We started talking, and all of a sudden, his ex shows up screaming at him, so I walk away.

A few weeks fly by and I see him at another party, and he said he had an extra ticket to Jake Owen and asked if I wanted to go. I said sure. Day of concert - he calls and says oh by the way, its not Jake Owen,

it's Luke Bryan (which is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES). I was beyond excited and had so much fun.

After that, we started hanging out and before you know it, summer came. I went back to California and on June 13th, he calls me to let me know he got his drivers license, and to very nervously ask me to be his girlfriend.

Ten years later, here we are. Right after college, we moved in together in New York City, adopted the

best dog, Luna, moved to a bigger place and then Covid hit, decided to move to Nashville on a whim, and haven't looked back.

On June 13th, 2022, our 9 year anniversary, we went out to dinner at our favorite spot. They sat us in the main dining area, where you feel like you are yelling at the person across from you it was so loud.

Chris asked the hostess if there was somewhere more private we can sit. We sat outside on the patio. Prior to this, Chris said he couldn't fit the ring in his back pocket, so he brought an extra pair of pants and claimed he may sweat through his and needed to bring an extra pair. I didn't think anything of it, this was

during a heat wave.

He ordered a bottle of champagne and some appetizers, leaned forward and said, "Well, you know I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you." Then he walked over,

kneeled on one knee, and said, "Will you marry me?"

As you can tell, I said yes, otherwise we wouldn't be chatting with you right now :)

We are excited for our next chapter!
