Bethany is a small town and most of the shops and food are located on Garfield Parkway. Below are some of our favorites:
- Surf's Up for subs - best enjoyed on the beach.
- Lily's for Pizza
- Mango's for Natty Lite's and Mangoritas (floaters encouraged) with an ocean view.
- Maureen's Coffee to start your day off with some caffeine.
- Sandy Pony for beach donuts
- Bethany Blues for BBQ
- Ropewalk for drinks/snacks
- Can never go wrong with Boardwalk or DB's fries for a quick fried lunch
- Baja Beach House is your place for margaritas (don't be coy...add a floater)
- Bethany Boathouse (near Hotel Bethany) has a great open air vibe. Our favorites are their Waffle Fries and Crushes
- All of Bethany is a public beach. Chairs and Umbrellas can be rented from Steen's Beach Service located just over the dunes on the boardwalk beaches. Cash only!
- Fabulous Dialtones (Classic Rock Band) playing on the boardwalk bandstand at Garfield Parkway, 6:30pm Saturday, September 14th.
- There are lots of shops, activities, and restaurants along Garfield Parkway. (Mini Golf, Arcade, Ice Cream, Park/Playground)
- There's an ongoing turf battle between Mickey's and Kohr Brothers Ice Cream Shops...we think you should try them both and let us know who wins!
- The Tanger Outlets are about 20-30 minutes north if you forgot anything or are craving some good deals.
- There is a new Bethany Beach App that provides more info on town events/hotspots:
- You'll need a residential parking pass to park on the streets of Bethany between 10:00am and 4:00pm
- There are pay to park spots/lots on Garfield Parkway and at the Beach entrances of each street.
- Bethany is a very walkable town, but there is a free Trolley (info via hyperlink, can track the trolley here)
- No glass allowed on the beach - use a coozie if you're drinking alcohol and stow empties discreetly.
- There are public restrooms located behind the bandstand near the beach on Garfield Parkway.
