Courtney & Ryan both grew up in Atascocita Texas, never meeting until after they had moved from their hometowns. They both met up for the first time at a small coffee shop in Sugar Land. Not wanting the first date to end, the coffee date turned into Chinese food, and as the conversation continued ended with a late-night ice cream. Both ended the night knowing they would want a second date, which ended up being a day at the Houston Fine Arts Museum a few days later. As their common values, interests and faith grew over the months, Courtney and Ryan both quickly realized that they had found the love of their lives. After asking Courtney's Father and Mother for her hand in marriage in secret at Courtney's home, a week later Ryan asked Courtney for her hand during a movie date night.
