Our first date was a picnic at Lake Couer d'Alene in July 2021. From the moment I saw him there was a spark. We ended the date at Denny's, where we had stayed until closing when they asked us to leave. We still talk about the date to this day as we lost track of time. We knew there was something special and from that moment on we were inseparable.

In July 2023, Walter and I decided to build our home in North Idaho. We went through so many milestone's during this time together as we were both not working and spent 6 months together on something neither of us had done before; build a house from the ground up. Our friends ask us how we did it as most couples wouldn't be able to make it through even an update on their house together. We like to think that it made us grow closer together and it strengthened our relationship.

We had been together almost 4 years when he popped the question. Walter and I went to one of our favorite spots, one of the first hikes we went on when we started dating. Walter was nervous and tripping going up the trail. It was not a huge surprise but we loved every second of that special day. He is truly my best friend and I can't wait to marry him.
