Our Wedding

We met in high school and only knew of each other from walking the halls and from a few mutual friends. Senior year prom was around the corner; we both needed dates. Barely knowing him or his desire and efforts to make everything he does perfect, he asked me to prom in the best way possible. After leaving the school gym for a few minutes during cheerleading tryouts, I walked back into an audience of about a hundred girls cheering me on, and my teammates in stunts holding signs that said, “PROM?”&nbsp;Prom night was nothing short of amazing! We celebrated post-prom the next day/night with some friends in Gelena, IL. That summer we officially started dating and tried to hold time still knowing we were off to different universities in different states in a few months. Since then, Brent and I graduated college and became adults. Brent started filming wedding videos for friends of ours on the side, and I help with video ideas and planning. Now it’s our turn to start the planning and we often find ourselves asking, “Who is going to film our wedding??”

Details

One&nbsp;of&nbsp;my&nbsp;closest&nbsp;childhood&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;moved&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;area&nbsp;in&nbsp;middle&nbsp;school&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;became&nbsp;close&nbsp;friends&nbsp;in&nbsp;high&nbsp;school.&nbsp;We&nbsp;played&nbsp;football&nbsp;and&nbsp;lacrosse&nbsp;together.&nbsp;We&nbsp;also&nbsp;spent&nbsp;countless&nbsp;hours&nbsp;working&nbsp;on&nbsp;projects&nbsp;ranging&nbsp;from&nbsp;building&nbsp;longboards&nbsp;in&nbsp;my&nbsp;garage&nbsp;to&nbsp;installing&nbsp;deafening&nbsp;sound&nbsp;systems&nbsp;in&nbsp;my&nbsp;first&nbsp;car.&nbsp;I&nbsp;am&nbsp;honored&nbsp;to&nbsp;have&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;as&nbsp;my&nbsp;best&nbsp;man.

I couldn't imagine this life without my only sister. From trying my hardest to make Hailey a "girly girl" since we were young, to staying up late playing cards together, to visiting each other at college, she has been there through it all. So blessed to have someone as genuine, selfless and funny to be standing by my side on my big day and throughout my life.

Eric is Courtney's oldest of 3&nbsp;brothers.&nbsp;Over the past five years I've&nbsp;gotten to know him well and always knew I wanted him standing up with us.&nbsp;He&nbsp;looked out for Courtney during their time at NIU;&nbsp;that meant everything to me while I was away at Iowa.&nbsp;I am excited not only to have him as a life-long friend, but call him my brother.&nbsp;

Lauren and I met freshman year of college at NIU where we immediately became inseparable! We were roommates for three years and we experienced the college lifestyle together. Lauren is my go-to, my partner in crime, and my best friend. Thankful for the memories we have&nbsp;shared, and I can't wait for many more adventures together.

Brendan&nbsp;is&nbsp;my&nbsp;brother-in-law&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;father&nbsp;of&nbsp;my&nbsp;first&nbsp;niece.&nbsp;Whether&nbsp;I&nbsp;need&nbsp;someone&nbsp;to&nbsp;go&nbsp;hunt&nbsp;with&nbsp;or&nbsp;advice&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;big&nbsp;life&nbsp;decision,&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;is&nbsp;my&nbsp;first&nbsp;call. He is always down to have a good time. Court&nbsp;and I love spending time with Brendan and Tarah at their cottage in Wisconsin.&nbsp;

Tarah is Brent's sister.&nbsp;Ever since I met her, she's&nbsp;treated me as a close friend; always&nbsp;welcoming and sweet! Throughout the years, I loved experiencing&nbsp;Tarah and Brent’s favorite vacation spots and learning why they&nbsp;are so meaningful to them. &nbsp;I can’t wait to gain another sister!!

Jake&nbsp;is&nbsp;the&nbsp;second&nbsp;youngest&nbsp;of&nbsp;Courtney's&nbsp;siblings.&nbsp;Since&nbsp;I&nbsp;have&nbsp;met&nbsp;Courtney,&nbsp;I&nbsp;have&nbsp;seen&nbsp;him&nbsp;grow&nbsp;from&nbsp;a&nbsp;quiet&nbsp;high&nbsp;school&nbsp;freshman&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;hard-working&nbsp;young&nbsp;man.&nbsp;Jake&nbsp;is&nbsp;currently&nbsp;studying&nbsp;fire&nbsp;science&nbsp;and&nbsp;safety&nbsp;at&nbsp;ECC.&nbsp;Whether&nbsp;you&nbsp;need&nbsp;a&nbsp;good&nbsp;laugh&nbsp;or&nbsp;someone&nbsp;to&nbsp;count&nbsp;on&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;favor,&nbsp;Jake&nbsp;is&nbsp;always&nbsp;the&nbsp;go-to&nbsp;guy.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Micaela has always been a fun loving, adventurous cousin of mine. Whenever she'd meet my friends from school, they'd love her instantly. The endless playdates and sleepovers at Grandpa's house was where all of us cousins bonded the most. I'm forever grateful for growing up with a cousin and friend like Micaela.

Katie&nbsp;always&nbsp;had&nbsp;the&nbsp;cousins&nbsp;doing&nbsp;crazy,&nbsp;funny&nbsp;stunts.&nbsp;Encouraging&nbsp;us&nbsp;to&nbsp;dress&nbsp;up&nbsp;in&nbsp;hideous&nbsp;dress-up&nbsp;clothes&nbsp;and&nbsp;directing&nbsp;plays&nbsp;and&nbsp;fashion&nbsp;shows&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;blast!&nbsp;Making&nbsp;a&nbsp;promise&nbsp;that&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;cousins&nbsp;be&nbsp;in&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;weddings&nbsp;when&nbsp;we&nbsp;were&nbsp;young&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;promise&nbsp;I&nbsp;always&nbsp;knew&nbsp;I&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;keep.&nbsp;So&nbsp;thankful&nbsp;for&nbsp;having&nbsp;Katie&nbsp;in&nbsp;my&nbsp;life.

Josh is the youngest&nbsp;of the Lonigro children. He is currently a freshman at ECC and aspiring artist. I have heard countless "Josh" stories and nearly everyone includes Courtney as the nurturing older sister. He may be reserved&nbsp;at times, but when he has something to say it is either&nbsp;very significant or will have you crying with laughter.&nbsp;

Kaylie and I have been close friends since we were 5. Living down the street from one another had its ups and downs, but we stayed&nbsp;friends throughout life. She has&nbsp;always been&nbsp;a friend I could go months without seeing and pick up&nbsp;where we left off the next time we were together. Cannot wait to celebrate with my oldest friend!

Kaylie O'Connor

Johnny is my cousin and he is&nbsp;currently attending TCU at Fort Worth, Texas. We both enjoy cooking and have spent countless summers boating in South Haven, Michigan. Johnny has many talents and a&nbsp;seemingly endless supply&nbsp;of random facts. Can't wait to have Johnny help us out on our special day!

Cassidy&nbsp;is&nbsp;another&nbsp;cousin&nbsp;of&nbsp;mine&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;&nbsp;great&nbsp;older&nbsp;brother&nbsp;to&nbsp;our&nbsp;ring&nbsp;bearer,&nbsp;Ryan.&nbsp;He&nbsp;is&nbsp;finishing&nbsp;up&nbsp;his&nbsp;senior&nbsp;year&nbsp;at&nbsp;Fenwick&nbsp;High&nbsp;School&nbsp;in&nbsp;Oak&nbsp;Park.&nbsp;You&nbsp;will&nbsp;likely&nbsp;find&nbsp;him&nbsp;working&nbsp;hard&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;local&nbsp;golf&nbsp;club&nbsp;or&nbsp;selflessly&nbsp;volunteering&nbsp;his&nbsp;time&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;Special&nbsp;Olympics.&nbsp;We&nbsp;are&nbsp;looking&nbsp;forward&nbsp;to&nbsp;spending&nbsp;the&nbsp;day&nbsp;with&nbsp;Cass.&nbsp;

Lizzie is so sweet and kind; she will&nbsp;fit right in with my bridesmaids.&nbsp;We're&nbsp;incredibly&nbsp;blessed&nbsp;to&nbsp;have her&nbsp;stand&nbsp;up&nbsp;with&nbsp;us&nbsp;on&nbsp;our&nbsp;special&nbsp;day.&nbsp;
