Tinder - we talked via messages / texts for a few months before our first date.

9 years, July 15th is our anniversary.

I came home from work one day and said wouldn't it be cute if we got married on our 10 year anniversary? And Tyler smiled really big and said yea, that would be perfect. Some months later we were sitting at home talking about the logistics, we had been looking at rings and he wanted to show me some of his mom's rings. (Mary passed away in 2011, unfortunately I never got to meet her.) He said he had been using them as inspiration as he'd been looking for a ring for me, but he was worried for a bunch of different reasons why they might not be good enough. One of them was absolutely perfect, I cleaned it up a bit (because he'd been keeping it hidden in a bobblehead!) and I showed him how nice it was once it was shined up. He slipped it on my finger and it almost fit perfectly (just a little too much wiggle room for my long term comfort). I said I thought it was perfect, he said "did we just get engaged?!" and I started crying. Not your typical story, but it's perfectly us.

Laughing together / having fun together. being together/ laughing together is always the best part of our days, it keeps us connected and close.

For Tyler- his friends are his chosen family. They're closer than blood and have amazing relationships. For Courtney - they are a tight knit group. Scott always says - Family comes first.

Board games mostly, but also random adventures. Just going out and doing something together or doing a house project together. Visiting a new area of town or a new restaurant, spending the day in the city or at the shore.

We love all the foods. We enjoy trying new restaurants as much as going back to our tried and true. We share a similar palette and often are thinking the same thing as far as cravings or where we want to go to eat or make.

Watches over his domain like a real security dog- all 15 pounds of him. He likes to cuddle but will play fetch for literal hours on end. His favorite song is Habits by Tove Lo.
