Our Wedding

We first met in Greek life during our senior years in college. Sam was in Tau Kappa Epsilon, and Courtney in Alpha Phi. During the beginning we started as good friends from studying together, taking late night study breaks to Taco Bell, and nerding out over video games. After a few weeks, Sam mustered up the courage to ask Courtney on a formal date to Volare Restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky. Suffice it to say, the first date went rather well. A few months later, we shared in many wonderful memories from attending the Kentucky Derby to earning our bachelor’s degrees. Our most treasured memory is the day we decided to adopt a dog, Bjorn, albeit a little early on in the relationship. However, we would both agree it was certainly meant to be! :) Fast forward a few years later, and Sam asked Courtney on another date to Volare restaurant for December 30th, 2021. We were sat at that EXACT same spot we had our first date. When it was time for dessert, Courtney’s favorite, Crème brûlée, was served and in her favorite colors. She glanced across the table to notice Sam down on one knee and exuberantly said yes to his proposal for marriage.
