Sean and Courtney first met at their place of work, Entrust, in the summer of 2019. Sean, newly hired as an intern, was joined at the company by Courtney a month later. Despite working together for a couple of years, they didn’t speak much besides work-related topics.

In 2022, their relationship took a turn when they ran into each other in downtown Minneapolis after Courtney attended a Justin Bieber concert. This broke the ice, leading to more frequent hangouts at work and lunches together. Eventually, Courtney started working from the open desk next to Sean's. Rumors began swirling at the company, but Courtney and Sean were adamant they were just friends.

In August 2022, with Sean and Courtney’s birthdays being a week apart, Sean asked Courtney if she wanted to go to happy hour after work to celebrate. They went to Taberna near Bde Maka Ska and Sean says that was the first time he really got to know Courtney as a person and became interested in her.

Their friendship became stronger as they started spending time outside of work and meeting each other's friends, though they continued to deny any romantic involvement. However, Sean's feelings became more apparent when he confided in Courtney's friend, Helena, on Halloween night. Helena eventually shared Sean's feelings with Courtney, which led her to reflect on her own feelings. She realized how much she valued Sean and all the incredible characteristics about him that she had been looking for in a partner.

On the night of November 29, 2022, Courtney went to Sean's house for a movie night and ended up telling him she was interested in dating. He cut her off before she could finish and asked to kiss her. After the kiss, he said he wanted to date as well.

A year and a half later, on April 21, 2024, Sean proposed to Courtney at Boom Island Park, a location Courtney had mentioned to her sister many years before that she would love to get engaged at.

Now, as they embark on the next chapter of their lives together, Sean and Courtney are excited to celebrate their love surrounded by family and friends at their wedding. They look forward to a future filled with adventures, laughter, and the unconditional love they have found in each other.
