When Courtney and Alex matched on a dating&nbsp;app in September 2018, neither thought it would develop into a lifelong romance. He had exited a long relationship only a few weeks prior and was exploring being single, while she had collected enough laughable dating stories and was ready to find a lasting relationship. Nevertheless, by the end of their&nbsp;first date, both Courtney and&nbsp;Alex knew they had already formed a meaningful connection. They built a solid foundation by taking their relationship slowly and were inseparable by the time they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend in July 2019. In October 2019, they planned a Disneyland vacation. While dining in Downtown Disney, Alex told Courtney that he loved her, and Courtney immediately replied that she loved hm back. Their timing couldn't have been better when the Disney fireworks immediately followed. Courtney and Alex continued to grow as a couple by supporting and comforting each other during the uncertainty of 2020. In July 2020, they took the next step in their relationship when they moved into their first apartment together. Alex adopted Courtney's cat, Aubrey, as his own and they adopted a second cat, Rafa, in March 2021. While Aubrey is now watching over her family from a better place, they&nbsp;adopted a&nbsp;new kitten, Leo, in January 2023, who has brought great joy to their lives. They are enormously grateful for their budding family. Following a dream Hawaii vacation, a fresh start in graduate school for Courtney, an amazing new job opportunity for Alex, and countless other wonderful experiences, Alex proposed to Courtney on October 22nd, 2021. They have had an ideal beginning to their love story and look forward to many more years of happiness together.

Courtney and Zia have been best friends since middle school. They met at their neighborhood swimming pool and the rest is history. From their annual Jerome trip to Christmas Eve breakfast, their annual traditions mean the world to Courtney. Zia and Courtney are the sisters they got to choose and Courtney is incredibly grateful to have her by her side.

Courtney met Melissa at W.P. Carey in 2014 and they have been best friends since. Courtney and Melissa were also co-workers at Courtney's first job post-college and she learned so much from Melissa and is always impressed by the passion she brings to any project. Courtney admires her sense of adventure, positivity, and the way she brings the fun - it isn't a Vegas trip without Melissa!

Renee and Courtney met on a trip to NYC in business school in 2014 and have not only been great friends since, but were also co-workers at Courtney's first job post-college. Renee is an amazing sounding board, always makes Courtney feel supported, and she's the best reality TV show buddy!

Ashley and Courtney met at W.P. Carey in 2013 and became fast friends through their time in Tillman Scholars and many nights spent watching their favorite MTV shows. Courtney admires Ashley's dedication to self-growth and loves that Ashley is always down for a gym session and Chipotle outing, a deep talk, or a throwback movie night.

Thomas and Courtney met in 3rd grade when they both were new students that year at John Jacobs Elementary School. Thomas is a core part of Courtney's childhood with memories together including performing in their school plays. Thomas and Courtney both attended business school at ASU and became best friends. Thomas is like a brother to Courtney and he quickly bonded with Alex. Courtney and Alex are thrilled to have Thomas be their officiant and help them start this new chapter in their lives.

Butterfly Wonderland is America's largest butterfly conservatory. There are thousands of butterfly species inside the main greenhouse, which is adjacent to further animals, exhibits, and shows.
