Our Wedding

Their journey began in a place you’d least expect—junior year anatomy class at Marian Catholic High School. Dave and Courtney sat diagonally across from each other the entire year but never really talked. Then one day, Dave noticed Courtney wearing a metal T-shirt and realized they had something in common. During the summer, they ran into each other at Mayhem Fest. As they were both leaving the festival with their groups, Dave said "Hi" to Courtney and caught her attention. They chatted for a bit before parting ways. Over the next year, they started chatting online and hanging out, and their attraction to each other began to grow! Especially after Dave made Courtney a heart shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day &lt;3 In March 2009, Dave finally asked Courtney to be his girlfriend, and the fun began: prom, concerts, trips to the city, and much more. Then the nine-year break started in 2011... but they kept in touch over the years. And everyone often wondered what their future held. Fast forward to 2019—Dave and Courtney quickly reconnected at a concert and started texting occasionally on a friendly level. When the world turned upside down in 2020, they began talking more frequently and decided to hang out. Little did they know, it would turn into their second first date (at Quartino, of course). From that day on, Dave and Courtney realized the sparks were still there and have been together ever since—shuffling back and forth between each others apartments, Dave becoming a cat dad, buying their first home, and now marriage!
