TRAVEL UPDATE AS OF 10/19:

All roads to Fontana are clear and fine for traveling. When mapping to travel some maps (specifically google maps) will take you on a route that will try and avoid roads that they think have been damaged by the hurricane. These directions will take significantly longer, and not necessary as all roads are fine. If coming from Raleigh - please take I-40 to exit 27 - highway 74 west - stay on highway 74 until you come to highway 28, this will take you to Fontana. The route should take 5 1/2 hrs, so if you are getting a longer route is likely due to the above issue with google maps.

From Atlanta you will also take 75 to 64 East. Your route should take 3 1/2 hrs. We highly recommend that you do not use Google Maps, and use Apple Maps or Waze. Make sure that you have your route planned and giving yourself plenty of time for travel.

You will lose your signal so make sure you have your GPS ready before getting on highway 28 or within the last hour of travel.
