Courtney and Blakes love story began in the beginning of 2020. Courtney had just moved to Louisville in the fall of 2019 to start her grad school journey and Blake was working as an engineer. The Tinder world brought them together when they both swiped right on each other. Courtney was quickly charmed by Blake’s witty messages and his talent for crafting personalized playlists. But just as quickly as things started, the world came to a halt... literally. Their first date was set for the very day that COVID-19 officially shut everything down. With lockdowns in full effect and no clear end in sight, their budding connection faded, and they each went their separate ways. Fast forward two years: Blake was sitting in an airport, scrolling through Facebook while waiting to board a flight back to Kentucky, when he saw that it was Courtney’s birthday. He sent her a message to wish her well. That simple text rekindled a spark that had never fully gone out. This time, the timing was just right. The rest, as they say, is history.
