Courtney and Hunter’s story goes back nearly 21 years. Having grown up across the street from one another, Courtney and Hunter attended Meadowvale Elementary together. Sometimes they’d walk home together, and years later Courtney admitted she always liked the way Hunter “Looked like Harry Potter.”

Their friendship expanded through junior high and high school, where they shared honors classes and both joined the theater program. Performing opposites in a variety of shows, including Into the Woods, Oliver!, and Fiddler On the Roof. Hunter recalls the moment he fell for Courtney—when he saw her playing Kingdom Hearts on the floor outside of the auditorium waiting for rehearsal.

They began their relationship shortly after graduating from college, on February 14th, 2018, and spent four fabulous years together, with Hunter encouraging Courtney to learn Magic the Gathering and Courtney encouraging Hunter to watch every scary movie franchise under the sun (their favorite is Scream). They were fortunate enough to get to travel the world from New York, San Francisco and Miami to Dublin, Doolin, Belfast and Londonderry in Ireland and the United Kingdom, where Hunter proposed on April 19th, 2022, at the Cliffs of Moher.

They currently live with their ferocious cat, Sophie, who never ceases to voice how much she loves them—and how often she wants to go hang outside. While Sophie won’t be in attendance on their big day in January, they certainly hope you will!
