Her Story:
When we first matched on Bumble, amidst all the chaos that the world was experiencing in 2020, he somehow made everything seem not so bad. He made me feel safe and grounded. Every day that we chatted I felt more and more at ease. I couldn’t wait to get a text from Steve (who I eventually started to call my bumblebee) and even more so, I couldn’t wait for our first date. The anticipation!! After that first date, I knew. I knew that he was my person and that we were meant to be life partners. He always knew what to do to make my day a little bit better and a little bit brighter and he hasn’t stopped since. From punk shows to music festivals, and events around Detroit; from traveling coast to coast, to Up North, and around the world. Each day always begins with the promise of a new adventure, and babes, I’m here for it!
His Story:
Driving home from our family cottage with my mom and suddenly, a bumble match messages me. I turn to my mom and say, “hell yeah.” Mom asks, “what is it?” I responded by saying "the cutest girl just messaged me the best thing a girl could ever message me...she said, Artie is absolutely adorable.” This came during a difficult time in life. I had lost my father not long before and we were coming out of the initial COVID shutdowns. A few weeks later we meet for the first time for dinner. She talks about her butt tingles when she gets excited, her love for comfy cozies, and shows me a song that will later become our future wedding song, Honeybody. Courtney became a ray of sunshine and brought color back into my world. She became my sunflower. I knew we would spend the rest of our days together. One would call us life partners @Courtney.
