Everyone knows how difficult it can be to meet new people during our day-to-day lives. Therefore, people tend to turn towards online dating in order to meet potential partners. That is exactly what Daniel and I both did...
We both found each other rather quickly and began to get to know each other. Text messages turned into phone calls which turned into a request to meet in person on October 15th, 2016...
Of course, you have to also be careful with meeting new people in today's world... so we agreed to meet at the Wal-mart parking lot. We stayed on the phone talking the whole time Daniel drove from Florence to Decatur. Talking on the phone was so easy for both of us and time seemed to fly as get got wrapped up in each other's conversation. We got so wrapped up that Daniel drove all the way through Decatur and was headed towards Hartselle before I remembered to ask where he was and realized he had passed the spot where we were to meet. So we had a change of plans and decided to meet in the Target parking lot instead...
We talked for hours standing next to our cars. In fact, we talked for so long that by the time we realized we were hungry, it was so late that most restaurants were closed. Buffalo Wild Wings was open until midnight and was one of the only choices we had...
After dinner, we went to Rhodes Ferry Park and walked around alongside the river and continued the on-going conversation until we decided that we should return back to Target to end our date. However, we continued to talk when we returned to the parking lot and ended up staying even longer than planned. We both drove away as the sun was rising to end the perfect date.
One year later.... and we were celebrating our one year anniversary on October 15th, 2017. We decided to replicate the night we met. We went to Target, Buffalo Wild Wings, and to Rhodes Ferry Park just like the year before. However, this time... Daniel asked for my hand in marriage at the park, and I of course said yes. It was the perfect and sweetest proposal. We have decided to continue to replicate "our night" every 15th day of October for the rest of our lives.
This also helped us pick our wedding day of October 14th as it was the closest weekend day to our "15th of October". We can't wait for everyone to come enjoy this special day with us and are eager for many more "Octobers" in our future!
