Chad and Crista first connected online in 2015 and hit it off immediately. When they finally met in person, Chad took Crista wade fishing, which marked the beginning of numerous fishing trips together. Over the next eight years, they enjoyed hunting and fishing trips in Florida and Pennsylvania, creating cherished memories.

On Valentine's Day 2024, Crista woke up to a beautiful bouquet of flowers and chocolates. When Crista came home from work, Chad cooked a great meal. Crista talked about how she had posted the flowers and the meal, saying Valentine's Day parts 1 and 2. Then Chad asked if she would like part 3. Crista said part 3? Chad said yeah, I got you something. He disappeared, came back with something behind his back, and said, "Here you go". It was a pair of old binoculars. Crista said uh, thanks. Then Chad said- no, you don't want those. He walked away again and came back with the ring box. Then he spoke from his heart and proposed!
