It all started one night on November 7th, 2015.

Cristina: I Texted my family friend Danny to go out for the night. We normally go out to an 80s bar called New Wave but ended up at Cowboy Country. If anyone knows anything about me I don’t care for country music but thought , what the heck, let’s try it. I pick up Danny and we drive to this huge red barn looking building. As we walk inside Danny tells me, “Cristina you’re going to find a white guy in here”. I laughed as we went inside. It was a huge two story bar with a live band and various dance floors with people wearing their cowboy boots, flannel, jeans and hats. Now since I had planned to go to our normal spot, I was a fish out of water with my outfit. I had black open toed wedges, tight black pants and a white sequence beaded shirt. We headed to a table where we met some of Danny’s friends. I didn’t dare go on the dance floor since everyone knew every move and were all in sync with each other. I left the group to wander around and made my way upstairs to the second floor bar. I liked how you could watch everyone from above. As I was walking to the bar, along comes this guy in my path. He takes my hand and twirls me around to the song currently playing. How random (yet intriguing) I thought! I follow him to his small table of friends and we begin talking.
