On September 1st, 2011, it was the first day of the 4th grade & I was starting school at a new place without having met anyone from there. The very first person I met was Hailey. She was asked to walk me to our classroom. Since that day we have been the best of friends. Finally, on October 28th, 2017, I was able to take Hailey on our first date. After the date, I asked Hailey to officially be my girlfriend! - Cross

It was my 17th birthday and I had plans to go and get ice cream with Cross' sisters - Bryn & Kip. They picked me up from my house and we went to town. I had no idea that they were actually taking me to a surprise picnic that Cross had planned for me. Since that day, Cross has continued to go above & beyond for me in every aspect of life. It was that day that I knew I wanted to be with him forever! - Hailey

We are so thankful to have made so many great memories in high school together. We cheered each other on at volleyball games and baseball games, went to proms & homecoming together, and had front-row seats to watching each other grow up!

High school graduation! We were so excited to be continuing our story at Kansas State University together!

Throughout our time in college, we have been to many game days together as well as Kappa date parties & formals. Learning how to do life on our own with each other has been such a fun experience!

In my junior year of high school, I visited New York City for the first time. I instantly knew this was a place that Hailey would love. When covid started in 2020, Hailey and I began creating a New York bucket list for a trip we hoped to take some time in the future. This is when I first had the idea that New York would be the place that I would propose to her. After a few years of planning & saving, we were finally ready to cross off our bucket list! Little did Hailey know, I had actually been planning to ask her to marry me! Hailey being the way she is and wanting to have a very specific itinerary down to the minute made planning to propose that much harder. Luckily I had the help of my family as they flew in the day before we got there. Finally, the day had come! As soon as Hailey began getting ready for the day, I snuck around the block to a coffee shop to meet my mom, get the ring, and make sure all the details were perfect. We were walking around the park and as we approached the spot I had planned to propose, I saw the photographer I had gotten beforehand was there and ready. Finally, the moment I had dreamed of for all these years had arrived. I got down on one knee and asked Hailey if she would marry me and spend the rest of her life by my side. After Hailey said yes (!!!!!!!) my family came out and surprised her! We then went and had dinner to celebrate her officially joining the family and us getting to spend forever with each other. I am so happy that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. I cannot wait for August 9th! - Cross

Fast forward to now! We cannot wait to be celebrating our love with everyone in just a couple of short months. After all these years, we are so excited to finally get married and start our lives together. See you guys on August 9th!!!
