To those in the kingdom pondering, “however did Sir Joey meet Crystal, his fair maiden?” Ye olde Facebook! Joey and Crystal had many mutual friends on social media in the land of Los Angeles’ music scene. And one day, quite a few years ago, Joey set his eyes on Crystal on Facebook and decided to add her. He sent her many good tidings such as “Happy Birthday”, “Merry Christmas”, and sent her various memes very consistently. For years. Crystal was hesitant to respond due to the uncertainty of strangers. She feared that instead of her knight in shining armor, there would come a man who was evil and would do her harm. Until one fateful day in August of 2022 when she realized Sir Joey was safe, and gave him her number. Talking almost every day led to their first outing on September 8th, 2022. Joey took Crystal to a feast for the ages! Pizza and beer. After a pint or two, the land’s best “za”, and a conversation that lasted until the next morn, it was obvious that their connection went beyond all of their shared interests in heavy metal, video games, their faith, and so much more. They realized on that very first day that they were what each other had been praying for. They began to heal and melt the ice from each other’s hearts and fell in love very quickly. Like saying, “I love you” within the first 11 days quickly. Talk of marriage within the first month, quickly. Like Joey asking Crystal (and her faithful sidekick dog, Lionel) to join on his journey to the land of Tennessee with his family within the first month of courting, quickly. The Lord had put these feelings on their heart and intended to fulfill them. In November of the year 2023, Crystal, Joey, and their beloved dog, Lionel, left their lives in California behind to start anew in Tennessee. And though it was hard to say goodbye to many people whom they love, it is in Tennessee that they found their dream church and some of their best friends. The couple found where they could plant their roots. In April of 2024, Joey proposed to his fair maiden, Crystal, on the property of their church underneath the sunlit tree canopy of the forest. It was a moment they had waited for since they had met. The now betrothed couple is delighted to have YOU take part in the wedding festivities to come! Please, share in their love by eating, drinking, and being merry.
