Here’s some travel tips and tricks to make for a smooth trip!
** ALL GUESTS MUST HAVE VALID PASSPORT AT THE TIME OF TRAVEL**
Get your passport ready! It can take a few months to get a replacement passport, and the US won't let you fly if your passport is expiring too close to your international travel date.
The closest international airport to the resort is Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). The best way to travel to and from the airport to the resort is by using Uber/Lyft. There are shuttles available, however they tend to be more expensive and they stop at other resorts along the way causing travel time to take much longer. We also recommend using Uber/Lyft to travel anywhere outside of the resort. We advise to not to use the Taxi services because they do not have meters and charge you whatever they feel like.
We suggest bringing some cash in small denomination's such as 10’s 5’s and singles. Although all food and alcohol is included in the room cost, it is good to have small bills to be used for tipping (not required but highly recommended to receive prompt and grateful service). It is also good to have cash to purchase souvenirs and excursions. There is a shopping market at the Marina located walking distance from the resort. Also keep in mind that prices are able to be negotiated there so it is good to have exact cash to offer! You can also negotiate the price of excursions so don’t sign up for anything until you bargain a good deal!
There are going to be a lot of people offering deals that go along with time-share presentations. You should avoid these even if they sound like a good idea. They will offer you free gifts and free excursions in exchange for attending their quick “2 hour presentation”. They end up lasting way longer and don't end up giving you everything they promise.
Please remember that if you leave the resort it is best to travel in groups. It is best to always stay in populated areas when walking anywhere and always have buddies with you.
Bring lots of sunscreen! The sun is way hotter in Mexico, and it is way easier to burn, so remember to apply sunscreen very often!
There is WiFi inside the resort so you shouldn’t have any trouble sending messages or making phone calls.
