Alex and Crystal met at Nashville North, which is a country themed swing dancing bar in Stateline, Idaho. Each of them was there with their friends but ended up closing out the bar together and going to a gas station diner at 2am as a large group.

Over Crystal's spring break, Alex and Crystal took a trip down to Boise, Idaho to meet Crystal's friends. This was the trip Alex asked Crystal to be his girlfriend.

Alex took his lucky charm (Crystal), turkey hunting in Washington. If it hadn't been for Crystal's keen eyesight and pressure to stalk some turkey's, Alex wouldn't have gotten this tom on opening day.

By May, Alex and Crystal had attended two weddings together!

Over Father's Day weekend, Alex and Crystal went to the Oregon coast to meet Crystal's parents. They had just returned from an Alaskan cruise. It was on this trip that Alex asked Neil (Crystal's dad) to marry his daughter. It was also the first time Alex had met Neil in person. Spoiler: he said yes to Alex!

Even though Alex and Crystal lived 2 hours apart for the summer, they took many weekend trips together. One trip they did over the summer was hiking a mountain to see mountain goats. There were about 20 goats on the top of the mountain!

Alex and Crystal took a trip to Minnesota to surprise her family which was a great success! What she didn't know was that Alex had another surprise in mind. He proposed!

Alex and Crystal generally like to spend their weekends with friends; however, this particular weekend Alex surprised Crystal with a date to the pumpkin patch!

First Idaho hunting trip with Alex's uncle Clayton. Alex shot his first bear with his bow! Sadly, Crystal couldn't stay long enough to witness it due to school.

Alex and Crystal went to Alex's hometown in Michigan over Thanksgiving. They went hunting almost every day and were able to bring home some venison!

Wedding shower day! Of course, there was no snow in Minnesota until the party started!

Alex moved to Alaska where Crystal will join him in May after finishing college. Let the 4 months of long distance begin! Yes, Crystal cried a lot.

One year as a couple! Crystal flew to Alaska to visit Alex over her spring break, and they explored a glacier.

The long distance has finally ended! Crystal graduated from the University of Idaho and drove up to Alaska. They took a trip to the Chena Hot Springs as a start to their many Alaskan adventures.

Both Alex and Crystal had busy summers where each were gone for extended periods of time. In the moments they had together, they tried to take advantage of it, such as taking Crystal golfing for her first time! No one made par.

Alex and Crystal spent their 4th of July fishing for salmon, camping and hiking around glaciers!

A trip down to the Alaskan coast involved seeing Baluga whales! Getting good pictures of whales is hard, so we found a statue instead.
