Red Rocks is a geologically formed, open-air amphitheater not duplicated anywhere in the world. With Mother Nature as the architect, the design of the Amphitheatre consists of two 300 foot monoliths (Ship Rock and Creation Rock) that provide a stunning setting for any performance. The dramatic sandstone monoliths serve as a history book of animal and plant life in the area for the past 250 million years. Red Rocks hosts some of the biggest names in music, which is why it’s also one of the most popular music venues in the country.
Dinosaur Ridge is part of the Morrison-Golden Fossil Areas National Natural Landmark located just east of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in suburban Denver. A panel of esteemed paleontologists ranks Dinosaur Ridge the top dinosaur tracksite in North America, and one of the top such sites in the world. Dinosaur Ridge educates and inspires wonder in visitors of all backgrounds about the science and history of the fossils and natural resources found at Dinosaur Ridge, Triceratops Trail, and related paleontology sites.
