Crystin + Jordan

BACKGROUND STORY•

Jordan and I originally met sometime around 2012. We had several mutual friends but didn't quite know each other at this point. In 2013, Jordan came out with some of his friends to my 23rd birthday party. This was the night he asked for my number! We talked frequently over the next few months. We finally ended up at the same event one night at the Rev Room in downtown Little Rock. (I believe it was the Josh Abbott Band playing). This time Jordan actually asked me out on a real date...to a wedding...that he was in! I agreed to go but wasn't really sure how that would work considering he would be involved in the wedding festivities. Jordan and I having mutual friends came in handy for this date. I ended up going to the wedding with Lindsey Jordan and I actually knew some of the guests there so it worked out. So, our first official date was October 4, 2013. Since then, the two of us have been to countless Razorback games, weddings, showers, and the list goes on! I actually remember tailgating at a Razorback game at War Memorial that year and I spent the entire time at his tailgate. I am pretty sure I didn't talk to anyone who didn't come within 5 feet of us the entire time. After the fact, all of my friends were talking about all the people they saw today and I didn't recall seeing a single one of them because I was all about Jordan that game! I should've known then...

It has been so fun experiencing the last three and a half years of life together! We knew we wanted to get married to each other and we had talked about getting married plenty of times so, of course, me being the planner that I am, I already had a few places scoped out for venues. One of those places was Angelo's Garden. It is still under construction at this time but we decided to look anyway. We visited and fell in love with this venue!

THE PROPOSAL•

On March 19, 2017 shortly after four o'clock in the afternoon Jordan proposed in the very spot where we will say our vows! (It will look a lot different by that time!)

Jordan pulled this off by conveniently suggesting that we go see the construction progress on the way to Conway for his mom's birthday dinner at 5:00p.m. Right before we pulled up to the venue a random song came on the radio that was saying things like "I want to make you my wife", "i'm going to marry you some day", etc..I had to check to see if that was the radio or if he was playing that song on purpose...it was the radio. Jordan's response was "well that is a weird song to be playing right now." At that moment I got extremely nervous (in the best way).

We pulled up and the venue owner, Uche, was already there. He was just getting out of his vehicle as well. We got out and started walking as Uche was pointing out the changes that had been made since we last saw it. Uche then "forgot" his phone in his car so he went back for it (I don't really know if he forgot his phone but I am assuming he didn't). That left Jordan and I alone right where the ceremony would take place. Once he got down on one knee, the details got real blurred. All I can remember is saying "yes" and then saying "Am I allowed to say it's about damn time?" (haha)

Then, we really did go to dinner at Mike's Place in Conway as planned but it was not a birthday dinner. Some of our family and friends were waiting there to celebrate with us! That was the first of many celebrations to look forward to. Jordan and I can't thank you all enough for the love and support that has been given to us over the years and will continue to be given to us. We love you with all of our heart!

Now let the countdown to 12.9.2017 begin!
