Our story is a sweet depiction of the sovereignty and the reflection of the goodness of our Father!

We met sophomore year at Liberty University and Curtis definitely caught my eye. The first time I remember meeting Curtis was when we were at a nursing home doing ministry. Curtis believes he first met me at Snowflex. Who knows, but we definitely were fond of each other :)

Curtis and I were friends and spent the summer of 2018 messaging back and forth. I was in North Africa that summer doing ministry for children with special needs and and Curtis was in Canada with GenSend. It was a sweet summer as we prayed for each other and getting to know each other more. We both realized how much we both connected! Curtis went to Israel that same summer and bought me a wooden camel and planned on getting coffee with me the fall semester and giving it to me. Senior year was a long and hard year for both of us. Curtis was a RA and the Lord was working in his heart that year as He called him to missions. I finished my last semester and then I went to Japan for my student teaching.

As the next two years go by, we always stuck with each other. We both reconnected in 2020. I was in North Carolina for the holidays and I texted Curtis a few days before Christmas asking if he was able to go North Carolina for Christmas. I originally thought he was still doing ministry in NYC. That text led into a 3 hour FaceTime, to a 3.5 hour coffee date, to a 9 hour hike, another 9 hour hike, and then a 5 hour coffee date - all within a few days. Curtis and I connected in so many ways that we did not think it was possible with another person.

In the next few weeks, Curtis pursued me and gave me the camel that he bought in Israel the summer of 2018.

Our relationship flourished the next year and the Lord worked in and through us. The Lord’s graciousness towards us has been so evident and how He given us this sweet love.

From the hours and hours of conversation, the many hours of driving to visit each other, the sweet holy moments where we have worshiped the Father together, to connecting on many important values, the Lord has given us this sweet gift and we praise Him for that.

Thank you for supporting us in this sweet journey of marriage. One thing that we say is the Lord is the divine architect of this relationship. He has laid down each brick and He is the one who is orchestrating this house.

Our prayer is that this marriage will be for His glory and that we will provoke others to come to know Him and experience the fullness of joy that we experience by being in an intimate relationship with the Father.
