Curtis and Kayla’s journey began in February of 2016 when they were introduced by a mutual friend. Fast forward to October of the same year when we officially started dating. Throughout the past seven years, our relationship has blossomed and we have grown as a couple.

We went from living in an apartment in Florence with our cat, Buggy, to moving into our first house in 2019, when we then added our dog Moose to our family. Little did Kayla know the huge undertaking that fixing up this house was going to be! It required them to live in the basement for 3 months while using a camper for bathroom facilities! The challenges of living through construction wasn’t always easy, but Curt and Kayla drew strength from the support and love they had for each other, knowing that the eventual outcome would make it all worthwhile.

Our story continues with a seven year anniversary celebration in Upstate New York. We rented a Yurt located on a vast 90+ acre property. One morning, we took our dog Moose out for a hike. At the top of the mountain is where Kayla turned to find Curt on one knee asking her to embark on the next chapter of their lives together.
