We both grew up in Northern Colorado. Cynthia in North Denver and Todd in Loveland. Our lives criss crossed many times, but somehow we never managed to run into each other.

Finally, we met in the winter of 2022 with the help of our mutual best friend Kristine. There was an instant connection and we both felt the chemistry. One of Cynthia's friends quoted her as saying, "it was like BAM!" when they first met and Todd couldn't finish driving home before calling Kristine for Cynthia's number and her opinion if he should ask her on a date.

Our first date was in Estes Park. A morning drive up to Estes Park for lunch and shopping turned into a full day followed by dinner and a movie back in Loveland to conclude the night that neither of us wanted to end. By the beginning of 2023 we were planning to move in with each other.

Our first year was filled with exciting new firsts and many trips and fun times together. We visited Miami for a beach trip for Cynthia's birthday, Costa Rica for Cynthia's good friends wedding, Glenwood Springs for Todd's birthday, Las Vegas with some of Todd's friends, and Cancun for a family trip before Christmas.

Todd proposed to Cynthia in Estes Park at the end of October of 2023, on the anniversary of their first date and in a special spot on a bench by the river.
